“He is an excellent teacher. My daughter is 8 and is learning how to play Ukulele. Obviously he's a very advanced player and teacher with lots of experience, but it doesn't stop him from teaching her at her pace. She loves it, and she is utterly shy. This guy's the bomb.” - Allison J.

“I recently retired, and on my bucket list was learning guitar. After shopping around a little, I began taking lessons from Matt K. at the Milwaukie School of Guitar. I was somewhat skeptical about my ability to succeed, having little to no ability. However, I found Matt to be an exceptional teacher. He is patient, skilled, and experienced. The pace has been just right, learning technique but also having fun and playing songs. I recommend Matt K. and the Milwaukie School of Guitar highly. Give it a shot!” - Doug M.
“Matt's lessons are great! He gives a lot of helpful guidance, without applying too much pressure to do things exactly one way. I've taken guitar lessons with Matt as an adult. I've been casually learning guitar for years, but having lessons with Matt has opened my eye to theory and techniques that I couldn't learn just from looking up tabs online. There are lots of books and online resources out there, so it takes a great teacher to be worth while, and Matt is one of them.” - Brad F.
